Travel to Vietnam from Malaysia
But first a Dark Cave
I took a series of interesting photographies during my visit at the cave. See spectacular rock formations and a place that looks like an alien planet. The history of the cave goes back thousands of year, however in terms of when humans found it, it merely dates back a few hundred years.
The dark cave batu caves opening hours are approx 8-9 AM unto around 6 PM. They offer several tours, however only one tour is available on the fly, the other two needs to be booked in advance. The one that needs booking is dark cave batu caves adventure tour.
The entrance fee is minimal measures up against what you get. I think I paid something like 30 ringgit. The place stands out as something else when I think back about all the different tourist attractions I visited.
Vietnam Tourist Visa on Arrival
Traveling to Vietnam from Malaysia and having a rather unpleasant meeting with the Vietnamese immigration. The immigration officer barely lets me enter the country and ask me to give him money. The whole thing is very weird, as I am a Norwegian citizen and we are given visa on arrival to Vietnam.
Vietnam is a communist country. I am somewhat skeptical to this, and apparently not without reason. Just after the immigration incident I get ripped of by the taxi driver that took me to my hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. He literally charged me ten times the normal rate. Great start.
The hotel I am staying at is okay in terms of price(Saigon Zoom Hotel), however the staff have some trouble speaking English. This leads to several misunderstanding and errors that further complicates things. My first impression of this country is not good.
